I saw him run by the cafe in downtown Memphis. I wasn't sure if it was really him, but I fell upon an article in Popsugar that interviewed Haruki and him stating that he was in Memphis for a marathon. "Hmm, really?" I thought. Can't be? My all time favorite author in the same city at the same time as me? What dumb luck.
My mind then reeled back into a memory, a dream actually, of me meeting him for the first time in life. I was at a mall in Seoul, South Korea locked arm and arm with him. We were deep in conversation. What were we talking about? Oh yeah. The writing process. Something I could literally talk all day about.
