The Big Time

I can't believe this, but I emailed a famous Asian American author/poet/movie maker and he emailed me back! I asked if he has any upcoming appearances in the Bay and he said he doesn't but he's coming here for a non-literary event in May and that if I had any ideas, he would be interested in following up--WOW!

What a humble guy, right? And open-minded, and sounds like a good person. I feel like I kind of know him after reading his memoir. It was SO GOOD.

Then I got back to B about organizing the 28 Kisses Valentine's Day reading. I think it will be a good way to say good bye to the Bay Area if/when I leave. It will be bittersweet, I think.

There is so much to look forward to this year! I'm so excited.
