Feel

She woke up refreshed and feeling alive. But she got a call from a friend who has been toxic to her in the past. She talked and talked but found no resolution or way to appease the friend's harsh comments. She hung up and cried. What an awful feeling. It was a dead end feeling not growing with a friend who she met over 20 years ago. They went through so much together only to feel so distant. All the support, good feelings, and common ground erased in a 20 minute conversations. "What did I do to deserve this?" It wasn't right that this supposed friend just took her for granted. It wasn't right at all.

He was working and working, and lost track of time. He didn't even realize or even feel the sweat on his brow. It was natural for him to always give 110%, it was just who he was. He worked hard and never complained.

She was living a quiet life. Lots of moments to read and spend on creative writing. It was simple life filled with simple pleasures, but it abruptly halted when she met this new person. I don't think commonalities bonded them, it was more out of anxiety and loneliness, never a winning combinations to have a relationship. Perhaps it was time to find more common ground.
