listening to: Mr. Brightside by The Killers
..destiny is calling me..open my eager heart...
My first night at club Garden, and my first night talking to someone face-to-face about an array of things that covered the meaning of God in man's life, faith, post-modern thinking, the influence of music in one's life to the return of oneself to a better time.
I just wanted to feel a connection, a bond.
So I called out some girlfriends from college and pleaded that we hang out and have a fun time. Did we? Regardless of my fallingout with mk, and relapses with battling eating disorders (among battling other things), once I got the call from jj, I was determined to have a good time.
the subway is always this prep time. sometimes i get afraid when i have nothing to distract my attention from the people around me, therefore i usually have something to read with me. having already formed the bad habits of an impatient driver, i'm used to doing a million things at once while getting from one destination to the next: one hand on the wheel, the other hand fiddling with the radio station turning it to the best song of the moment. so being on the subway with no one to talk to, nothing to read, no music to listen to, my focus is turned to the poor souls around me who are submitted to the cutting analysis of their facial features, and to a progressive young person, something could always be improved. >_< sounds pretty harsh, no?? yea, well how do you think the people around me feel.
once i got to the club and saw jj, i instantly started to feel better about the night. after a few bad clubbing experiences where my thoughts are zipping around, drama with some colleagues sours the evening, and whatever else life seems to throw at me and makes another mess for me to clean up, i just wanted to let go into my trusted friends and let go into the music.
it was only a kiss. how did it end up like this?
