The Healing Process

Dancing, twirling, swirling. The dancer feels her toes, her calves, her thighs--she lifts her arms up, rolls them up straight to the sky.

The dancer leaps, she lands on one toe. She spins, swirls. She collapses to the wooden floor. Falls out of her position, her composure breaks. She has made a mistake. She is fatigued; her breaths are heavy, heaving. She starts to sob. Salty, hot tears falling out of the corners of her eyes. She feels guilty, a heavy chest, a heavy heart, a heavy conscious.
